CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. –
Staff Sgt. Butch Reinhart is a fuels distribution supervisor for the 437th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Management Flight and has been stationed at Charleston AFB for nine years.
As a fuels distribution supervisor he coordinates the safe delivery of jet fuels to 51 assigned C-17s. He also coordinates with the aircraft maintenance and fuels resource control center for fuel delivery to the C-17 with an efficient team of Airmen.
Sergeant Reinhart enlisted in the Air Force more than eight years ago to follow his sister, Jill, who was also stationed at Charleston AFB for eight years.
"The variety of my job is what I like best," said Sergeant Reinhart. "I don't have to sit behind a desk all day and I can actually go out and see how our fuel team supports Team Charleston's mission. The team of Airmen I work with is great and the camaraderie we have can never be replaced."
He is a volunteer coach for the Summerville youth football and a volunteer physical training leader for the 437 LRS.
Sergeant Reinhart hopes to obtain his degree in logistics management from the Community College of the Air Force in the near future.
"Sergeant Reinhart is a seasoned NCO," said Tech Sgt. Marques Boyce, 437 LRS fuels distribution supervisor. "He cares about his troops and also holds them to a very high standard."
