Combat camera photography on display:
Alterman Studios in conjunction with the National Veterans Day Celebration will display the photographic works of three combat camera photographers from the 1st Combat Camera Squadron beginning Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The works of the three combat camera photographers will be on display until Dec. 31. Uniformed TSP briefing: Learn about the pros, tax advantages and how participating in the Thrift Savings Plan can help supplement your retirement income. Minimal manning at MPF: The 437th Mission Support Squadron Military Personnel Flight will be minimally manned on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an official squadron function. If anyone has any questions, they can contact Airman 1st Class Kyrie Redd at 963-8914.

A&FRF closure: The A&FRF will be closed on Veterans Day and will resume regular business hours on Tuesday. For more information, call the A&FRF at 963-4406.

Family pre-deployment briefing: There will be a pre-deployment briefing held every Friday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the A&FRF for individuals preparing for a deployment within the next 30 days. Transition Assistance Program: A 3-day workshop for military members who are transitioning from the military will be held Tuesday to 15 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Meet with experts from finance, the Department of Veterans Affairs, South Carolina Job Services and more to help get the tools needed for a successful transition into the civilian sector. Undergraduate Flying Training: The next Undergraduate Flying Training selection board will convene at the Air Force Personnel Center on Jan. 8. This selection board will review active duty applications for selection to pilot, chief security officer and air battle manager training. Those officers with a date of birth after April 1, 1978, and a total active federal commissioned service date after April 1, 2003, who meet all other eligibility criteria, will be eligible to apply for UFT. Applicants must send the completed application, postmarked by Nov. 26 to HQ AFPC/DPAOT3, 550 C Street West Suite 31, Randolph AFB, TX 78150-4733. Applicants are responsible to advise commanders and supervisors providing Air Force Form 215 comments of the application deadline. Applications with incomplete or missing data may not be processed. All applicants need to complete the Air Force Officer Qualification Test. In addition, pilot applicants must complete the Test of Basic Aviation Skills. Midland Park access gate closure: The Midland Park access gate will be closed until Nov. 26 due to scheduled renovations at the Rivers Gate inspection area. During the renovation process, vehicles requiring access to Charleston AFB via Arthur Drive must use the Aviation Avenue exit. All commercial and oversized vehicles will be stopped and inspected at the Arthur Drive extension area prior to entry to Charleston AFB. All normal vehicle traffic transiting the Rivers Gate will be unimpeded. For more information, contact the 437th Security Forces Squadron operations section at 963-3639.

Pharmacy closure: The pharmacy will be undergoing a major renovation project beginning at the end of October. The project is estimated to take approximately four months. The pharmacy will continue with full services throughout the project. Patients may experience extended delays during this process. For more information, contact the pharmacy at 963-6569.

Volunteer delivery drivers needed: The Airman's Attic is in need of volunteers to pick up donated items. Volunteers are eligible to participate in an incentive program that provides free or reduced priced items at places like the golf course, bowling alley, club, car wash and more. Anyone who has an hour or two to spare on an as-needed basis, contact the A&FRF at 963-4406.

General education courses available: Park University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offer general education courses that are needed to satisfy Community College of the Air Force degree requirements. Airman's Attic in need of donations: The Airman's Attic is in need of household items, children's clothing to size eight, appliances and furniture. If you have items that have been gently used, consider donating them to the attic.
