JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. –
Personnel from the 628th Civil Engineer and 628th Security Forces squadrons will perform vehicle barrier maintenance and testing at Joint Base Charleston - Air Base Dec. 17 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As a result, the Dorchester Road gate will be closed. The commissary gate will be open for all non-commercial traffic during this time. The Hunley Park housing area gate will be open for single-lane use only in both directions. Please use caution when entering and exiting the housing area and obey security forces' directions and signage. The Rivers Ave. gate and Vehicle Inspection Station will not be affected.

For Joint Base Charleston-Weapons Station
628 CES and SFS personnel will also perform vehicle barrier maintenance and testing on Gate 4 at the intersection of Remount Rd. and Perimeter Rd. on JB Charleston - Weapons Station Dec. 17 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gate 4 will be closed while the testing is underway. Gate 3 at the intersection of Remount Rd. and Virginia Ave will be open during this period. Both in and out-bound commercial and privately owned vehicle traffic may use this gate, however commercial deliveries are requested to be kept to a minimum due to traffic limitations at Gate 3. Security officers and schedulers should inform all commercial delivery drivers that service your units.
