Youth Programs holds annual Volunteer Recognition ceremony

More than 15 members from Team Charleston's community were honored during a recognition ceremony Jan. 30, 2013, held at the Joint Base Charleston - Weapons Station Theater.

The JB Charleston - Weapons Station Youth Programs held its annual Volunteer Recognition Program to honor the hard work and effort of individuals for 2012.

The following individuals were recognized for volunteering their time and talents to the Youth Programs School Age Program, Youth Sports Program and the Open Recreation/Teen Program:

"All volunteers are a crucial part of our program and they provide us with a way to support our youth in sports, academics, character, leadership, social recreation and fine arts," said Lamar Moorehead, JB Charleston - Weapons Station Youth Programs teen coordinator. "Without their help, it would be impossible to have the kind of impact we have as a program for our military families. Thank you to all the volunteers."
