(be responsible and keep everyone safe), a program started by drag racer Doug Herbert. The program’s mission is to prevent injuries and save lives by training and educating teenage drivers and their parents about the importance of safe and responsible driving. After an initial lesson on safety precautions, participants were sent to the driving course where they tested their skills in various driving conditions including an obstacle course, slippery skid track as well as a ‘drunk driving course’ where participants wore ‘drunk goggles’ to simulate the difficulty of driving under the influence. These types of engagements support JB Charleston’s efforts to engage with and support the local community.
