Team Charleston closes police week through retreat ceremony

Service members salute the U.S. flag during a retreat ceremony May 18, 2018, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Retreat signals the end of the official duty day and serves as a ceremony for paying respects to the flag. The flight was made up of law enforcement as a way to end police week. Police week is an observance in the U.S. that pays tribute to the local, state and federal police officers who have died, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty.
