Yankees outfielder hosts potluck for 15th AS

Brett Gardner, New York Yankees outfielder, right, and his wife, Jessica, left, sit in the cockpit of a C-17 Globemaster III on the flightline at Joint Base Charleston, Nov. 21, 2016. Gardner, a Charleston native, visited the 15th Airlift Squadron during his off-season spending time with local military members to thank them for their service. Gardner made the visit happen through an organization called Freedom Alliance. The alliance honors and supports America’s military and meets the rehabilitation needs of wounded service members, combat veterans and military families.
