LOCAL UPDATES

 

437th AW and 628th ABW LOCAL LEAVE AREA DEFINITION

In accordance with AFI 36-3003, Military Leave Program, paragraph 4.1.1.7, on 20 May 2020, Commanders of the 437th AW and 628th ABW issued a joint memorandum defining the local leave area for the purposes of COVID-19 leave restrictions as the following: “Local area” is defined as a 350-mile radius from a member’s residence. Members traveling to the following areas must receive Squadron Commander or above approval: 20 mile radius of Greenville, SC; 20 mile radius of Charlotte, NC; 20 mile radius of Lawrenceville, GA; 20 mile radius of Atlanta, GA; 20 mile radius of Gainesville, GA; 20 mile radius of Albany, GA.

JB CHARLESTON PUBLIC SERVICES

Due to a recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases across the state and in the Charleston area, Joint Base leadership is reassessing the availability of services on the installation. As a result, the installation Child and Youth Programs (CDCs and Youth Centers), AAFES Barber shop, Stylique Salon and the installation libraries will not open on June 22, 2020 as previously announced. Additionally, the Air Base Dining Facility will cease dine-in services effective June 20, 2020. Please see the listing below for the availability of all other Joint Base Services.
