CHARLESTON, S.C. - USS Charleston’s ship company stands with Vietnam, World War II and military veterans March 11, 2019, at the Somerby of Mount Pleasant, S.C., a senior living community, during a Navy Week visit. Organizers scheduled a wide variety of community events for Navy Week, which included participation by senior Navy leadership, Sailors from Joint Base Charleston, ships’ companies from the USS Constitution and the USS Charleston, Navy divers and more. The events included high school visits, luncheons, static displays, veteran visits and baseball games, among many others.
