U.S. Coast Guardsmen assigned to U.S. Coast Guard Sector and Station Charleston celebrated the U.S. Coast Guard's 228th birthday Aug. 4, 2018. "I joined the Coast Guard in 1999," said U.S. Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer Felisha DeCastro. "It always feels good to be a part of anything much bigger than yourself. There's tremendous job satisfaction in knowing I make contributions to an organization with such a proud legacy and an important part in American history."
