Staff Sgt. Casey Jackson, 43rd Operations Support Squadron Joint Airdrop Inspector, inspects an M2 release on a parachute rigged to a Humvee during a Deployment Readiness Exercise on Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina, Jan. 6, 2017. The DRE exercises the 43rd Air Mobility Operation Group's outload processes in order to get the Global Response Force deployed quickly and safely. The M2 release disengages the parachute from the load upon landing to prevent the parachute from dragging the load across the ground. Joint Airdrop Inspectors make sure that each load is in compliance with Air Force regulations before being loaded onto aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Thomas J. Doscher/Released)
