The Wing Plans and Programs Office (XP) directly supports Joint Base Charleston’s three Wing Commanders in operation of the Crisis Action Team and maintaining plans that relate to the overall mission assigned to each wing.
XP also works with tenant commands and external users to facilitate their operational needs. Those users can range from Human Space Flight Recovery, Foreign Military Units, along with other DOD Units (US Army, Marines, Navy, and US Coast Guard).
As a training base Joint Base Charleston also host numerous international partners to the installation. XP has trained International Military Student Officers who assist in their placement and training while aboard.
XP is the central node for facilitating and training base personnel and families in Operational Security (OPSEC) and Military Deception. These programs are vital to the success of JB Charleston’s missions and keeping all personnel safe while doing so.
