Fabrication Flight Maintains Mission Readiness

U.S. Air Force aircraft structural maintenance technicians from the 437th Maintenance Squadron applies the outer coating of aircraft paint to a C-17 Globemaster III July 2, 2019 at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The technicians at JB Charleston maintain C-17s in support of maintaining a global reach airlift capability. Structural maintenance technicians advise on and maintain the structural and low observable repair, modification and corrosion protection treatment of various types of aircraft. The 437th MXS is responsible for the maintenance of 51 assigned C-17A aircraft worth more than $10 billion dollars. The squadron primarily performs back shop and flightline support to include structural, avionic, hydraulic, electrical, environmental, survival and fuels maintenance.
