The 628th Force Support Squadron hosted a change of command ceremony at the Charleston Club June 21, 2019, Joint Base Charleston, S.C. The 628th FSS is responsible for deploying services and personnel support teams, quality of life, professional and personal readiness, manpower and personnel services, food operations, lodging, fitness and leisure activities. Maj. Troy Lane, incoming commander of the 628th FSS, was previously the operations officer for the 21st Force Support Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. Lt. Col. William Parker, outgoing commander of the 628th FSS, will be assuming a new role as the 628th MSG deputy commander.
