JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Airman 1st Class Alexander Elkins, 628th Security Forces Squadron installation entry controller, prepares to lower the U.S. Flag during a retreat ceremony Sep. 20, 2019, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Airmen from the base volunteered to carry the flag and ran for 10 hours as well as held a retreat ceremony at the end of the day honoring prisoners of war and those missing in action.
