JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. - Lt. Cmdr. Jacques Bouchard, Naval Health Clinic Charleston staff physician, holds up an acupuncture needle at NHCC in Goose Creek, S.C. Acupuncture is a medical practice that involves pricking the skin or tissues with needles in order to alleviate pain and treat various physical, mental and emotional conditions. Bouchard is the only certified practitioner of acupuncture at NHCC.
