Col. Terrence Adams delivers remarks after assuming command of the 628th Air Base Wing and Joint Base Charleston during a change of command ceremony Sept. 5, 2018, at Joint Base Charleston, S.C. Adams replaced Col. Jeff Nelson as commander of the wing after serving at Scott Air Force Base, Ill., as Air Mobility Command’s director of communications and chief information officer. Joint Base Charleston is one of 12 Department of Defense joint bases and is host to over 60 DOD and federal agencies. The 628th ABW delivers installation support to over 90,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, civilians, dependents and retirees across four installations including the Air Base and Naval Weapons Station.
