Airman 1st Class Eric Duncan removes a coiled rope ladder to reach the attached 46-person life raft from the inside of a C-17 April 25, on Joint Base Charleston - Air Base. The ladder is triggered by a Flotation Equipment Deployment System in case of an emergency. Airman Duncan is a crew chief from the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
