437th Aerial Port Squadron Passenger Operations Flight Honored by the Community Resource Center Summerville

The Community Resource Center Summerville presents members of the 437th Aerial Port Squadron with a plaque during a recognition ceremony, Oct. 23, 2020, in Summerville, S.C. Members of both Joint Base Charleston and the community came together to honor the volunteer efforts of these Airmen who have been instrumental in the massive food giveaways orchestrated by the Summerville YMCA and the Community Resource Center Summerville where they helped provide over 60,000 boxes of groceries and 2,400 kits of school supplies to Dorchester County Residents since the beginning of the pandemic. From the port to the fort: 841st Transportation Battalion

U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Will Twigg, an Operations NCOIC mobilized with the 841st Transportation Battalion, oversees equipment being offloaded from a cargo vessel to ensure all equipment is accounted for, at Joint Base Charleston’s Naval Weapons Station, S.C., Oct. 14, 2020. The 841st TB is an active duty, U.S. Army Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) unit tasked with the execution of Task Force Deployment Operations.
