CDC expands childcare capabilities

By Senior Airman Thomas T. Charlton Joint Base Charleston Public Affairs

Joint Base Charleston leadership hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the expansion of the child development center May 31, 2019, at the Joint Base Charleston Air Base, S.C. The 628th FSS CDC reopened several rooms and hired eight more staff members, allowing them to care for 74 additional infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers and preschoolers. The expansion on the CDC will help family members here by increasing available childcare services and resources, contributing to the overall quality of life for the Air Force and civilian families and enhancing Air Force readiness.
